I guess this will be my official 60th birthday selfie, since it’s the only really decent one I took today. I had lots of thoughts and was considering doing a very long-winded post about hitting this milestone, but I’m on vacation and I don’t feel like it.

So maybe later. Or maybe not.

I’ve taken to celebrating my birthdays alone and on the road in recent years and that’s working well for me. I had a great day exploring and taking pictures, and had a great dinner at my favorite Middle Eastern place in Dearborn (yes, I have a favorite Middle Eastern place in Dearborn). Interestingly enough, there was a family there celebrating their daughter’s birthday and they offered me cake. They were quite amused when I confessed that it was my birthday too. It was very sweet.

I did not, however, ask if they had a senior discount. I probably should have.
