The Story:
We'd both been wanting to do a semi-midwestern, Rust Belt sort of trip for quite a while and we'd also really wanted to visit Toronto. A suitable intinerary was devised and we were on our way in October 2006.

- Saturday 14 October 2006: Winston-Salem to Cincinnati
- Sunday 15 October 2006: Cincinnati to Chicago, via Indianapolis.
- Monday 16 October 2006: Chicago
- Tuesday 17 October 2006: Chicago
- Wednesday 18 October 2006: Chicago
- Thursday 19 October 2006: Chicago
- Friday 20 October 2006: Chicago to Detroit
- Saturday 21 October 2006: Detroit
- Sunday 22 October 2006: Detroit to Toronto
- Monday 23 October 2006: Toronto
- Tuesday 24 October 2006: Toronto
- Wednesday 25 October 2006: Toronto
- Thursday 26 October 2006:Toronto to Pittsburgh, via Buffalo
- Friday 27 October 2006: Pittsburgh to Winston-Salem
